The Muller Law Group, PLLC Announces New Members

 

The Muller Law Group, PLLC, is pleased to announce the promotion of Shima Jalalipour and Joel Cleveland to membership in the Firm.

Shima Jalalipour

Shima joined the Firm in 2017 and has over 15 years of legal experience. She currently represents special districts and other governmental entities as general and bond counsel. Shima also has significant experience representing transportation clients, including the Fort Bend County and Fort Bend Grand Parkway Toll Road Authorities, Montgomery County Toll Road Authority and the Texas Heritage Parkway Improvement District. As counsel, Shima was instrumental in the development of the Montgomery County 249 Toll Road and the Texas Heritage Parkway. Her experience also includes general real estate and finance matters, including the development, leasing, financing, acquisition and disposition of multifamily, office, retail, industrial, healthcare and student housing projects. Shima graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. 

Joel Cleveland

Joel has been practicing public finance law representing purpose districts and governmental entities for over 10 years. After working with Jeanne H. McDonald, P.C., for 7 years, Joel joined The Muller Law Group, PLLC, in 2020. Joel’s practice includes work with municipal management districts, municipal utility districts, municipalities, economic development corporations, tax increment reinvestment zones, public improvement districts, authorities, and other governmental entities as general, bond and special counsel. Joel has also worked with clients to secure special local and federal grants and financing to serve communities in need of major flood protection improvement.  Joel graduated from State University of New York at Fredonia and received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
