Julie Sams
Julie began her career with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (formerly the U.S. Customs Service) where she advised agency management on a wide variety of legal issues, represented the agency in administrative proceedings, and worked closely with the Department of Justice on cases in federal court. She later worked as a career counselor at South Texas College of Law, and as the manager of the Diversity Scholar Program and a career coach in PracticePro. Additionally, Julie has served on three municipal utility district boards over the past 10 years. In 2023, Julie accepted a position as our Chief Development and Advancement Officer. Julie graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts, and received her J.D. from University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2002.
Marcus Spencer
Teresa Poonsuwan Wilson
Teresa currently represents special purpose districts, such as municipal utility districts and municipal management districts as general counsel. Teresa has practiced in the areas of federal and state government regulations and taxation since 2019. Prior to joining The Muller Law Group, PLLC, Teresa began her career as a litigation attorney handling a wide array of cases. She then worked for a multi-national tax consulting firm, providing legal guidance regarding changes in complex government regulations to the firm’s lead consultants and project managers, as well as her clients. As lead attorney, Teresa represented businesses from mom-and-pop shops to multi-billion-dollar corporations before national and state tax authorities, often negotiating multi-million-dollar deals.

Our Amazing Team
Amy N. Love
LEGAL ASSISTANT – Amy has been a legal assistant for municipal utility districts since 2008. Amy is a native of Rochester, New York where she previously worked as a sales representative for Ryan Homes. Amy is involved with multiple community groups including the Circle of Hope Ministry, Safe Families, and the Girl Scouts of the United States of America. Amy graduated from Niagara University with a Bachelor of Science and later received her Master of Science.
Tiffany Brack
LEGAL ASSISTANT – Tiffany joined our group in March of 2025. Previously, she spent the last four years in public service as a legal assistant at the United States Attorney’s Office. She attended the University of New Haven where she earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a concentration in forensic psychology and national security. A proud Floridian, Tiffany spends her off time traveling, reading, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
Kathryn Raney
LEGAL ASSISTANT – Kathryn joined our team in November of 2021. Previously, Kathryn worked as a paralegal in the audit defense department of a Houston tax consulting firm where she assisted clients with matters facing the Internal Revenue Service. She is a native Texan and received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Baylor University.
Kelly Homan
LEGAL ASSISTANT – Kelly joined The Muller Law Group, PLLC, in 2022. She is a born and raised Houstonian, with a few moves around the country for academic pursuits and new experiences. Previously, Kelly worked in market research for Walt Disney World where she earned a significant love of theme parks and thrill rides. She attended the University of Alabama as well as Penn State University and holds degrees in both Speech Communication and Legal Studies.
Eva Reddick
LEGAL ASSISTANT – Eva has been in the legal field for over 25 years. Prior to joining our team in 2022, Eva was a commercial litigation paralegal for 20 years. Eva is a native Texan and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. She also holds a real estate license.
Karina Cornejo
LEGAL DOCUMENT PRODUCTION SPECIALIST – A native Houstonian, Karina began her career in the legal field as a records clerk and paralegal assistant in 2018, where she discovered her passion for helping others. She previously worked at a local pet resort, fulfilling many different roles. Karina earned her Associate of Science degree from Houston Community College in 2020, and joined our team in 2023.
Shawn M. Ledet
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT – Shawn has been an administrative and executive assistant for over 25 years. She joined the Firm in 2024 and has a strong administrative background, having supported various levels of management including C-suite executives. Although a native of New Orleans, Shawn proudly considers Houston/Katy her home since moving here with her husband in 1994.
Mariah Bergstedt
LEGAL ASSISTANT – Mariah joined our team in 2024 and has a varied and interesting background, having previously worked as a special education teacher and campus coordinator for special education programs and services. She received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Mississippi State University. A proud native Houstonian, Mariah is an avid reader, baker and sports fan.
Lisa Hernandez
LEGAL ASSISTANT CLERK – Lisa Hernandez began her career in the legal field in 2024 and joined our team in July 2025. Lisa is a proud Houstonian and graduate of the University of Houston, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in women’s studies. Lisa enjoys concerts, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her dog.
Carrie McCoy
BILLING COORDINATOR – Carrie joined our team in November 2021. She hails from Illinois, where she began her career in veterinary medicine administration. Carrie and her family moved to Texas in 2016, where she continued her career in the veterinary administration field, most recently as a hospital administrator.
Jennifer Hendrix
CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER – Jennifer has been with the Firm since 2016 and is a SHRM certified human resources professional. Her career began with the United States Army where she served as a Korean linguist. Upon completion of service, Jennifer spent more than 10 years with Six Flags AstroWorld. She left the position of regional sales manager to pursue both motherhood and private business ownership. Jennifer is a proud native Texan and has resided in both Brazoria and Fort Bend Counties.
Penny Cunico
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT – Penny has been an administrative and executive assistant since 1999. Prior to joining the firm in 2019, she worked for two national architecture firms with focus on education and healthcare. She has supported many C-level, mid-level executives and partners in her career and has been a part of many charitable events, sponsorship research and event planning. A native Houstonian, Penny resides in Fort Bend County.
Suzy Glascock
OFFICE COORDINATOR – Suzy has worked with The Muller Law Group, PLLC, since 2015. She has a strong background in the human resources field with over 18 years of experience. Originally from Long Island, NY, Suzy moved to Missouri City over 12 years ago, where she took time off from work to raise her family. Suzy graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a Bachelor of Arts.
Samantha Edwards
LEGAL ASSISTANT – Samantha joined our team in 2023, bringing a broad range of experience including 10 years as a senior consultant and district manager in project management, and 10 years of teaching in the private sector. A native Texan, Samantha earned her Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas and a certificate in paralegal studies from Rice University.
Desiree Parrish
LEGAL ASSISTANT – Desiree began her career as a legal assistant in public finance in 2021 and joined The Muller Law Group, PLLC, in 2023. She previously worked as an administrative professional across multiple industries including real estate construction and oil and gas. Originally from Louisiana, Desiree graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Arts. She moved to Houston in 2014 and completed Rice University’s Paralegal Graduate Certificate program in 2021.
Christie Guillory
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/RECEPTION – We welcomed Christie to our team in 2024. She has a strong administrative and executive administrative background, having worked in the field since 1997. A native Texan and resident of Fort Bend County, Christie enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and volunteering to help those in need.
Christina Allen
BOOKKEEPER – Joining us in 2025, Christina brings over a decade of progressive accounting and financial management experience to the Firm. A native Houstonian, she has a strong background in financial operations to include financial analysis, data visualization, accounting operations, asset management, streamlining financial processes and improving operational efficiency across various industries. Christina holds a Master of Business Adminisration from Houston Baptist University and a Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University.
